There are so many signs of rodent activity around a home or office but we will focus on the most common signs that you have rats in the attic in Frisco, Prosper, Dallas, or Surrounding areas.

Scratching, scurrying, and chewing noises in your ceiling and walls are an immediate sign that there is rodent activity.  From time to time the noises are faint or subtle and it sounds like they are having a party in your attic or make you think they are going to chew/scratch through into your home.

Have you heard sounds like squeaking and chirping? This typically means there is a high chance of babies in the attic or walls. If this is what your hearing it means the rats or rodents have an active nest inside your home.  This means that the rat infestation has been there for a while and it needs to be resolved, removed, and repaired right away!

NTX Step 2 – Set Baited Traps in high-traffic areas for maximum success 

Once we agree on the services to be performed we will send out our Rodent Experts to set baited traps in your attic, garage, or anywhere that we are seeing high-traffic rodent activity. Sometimes rats can be trap-shy and will steer away from new items in their habitat.  Luckily we have a proprietary baiting process that allows us to have maximum success when trapping rats.  As we said Rats can be cautious and oftentimes avoid traps unless they have no other options, no other food. Therefore we must immediately seal up the home to trap the rodents that may be inside at the time.  This forces them, even more, to go visit one of our trapping/baiting sites.  There are even times that we may not trap ANY rats because we have already sealed them out.  Although you have rodents in your attic they are still coming and going to access their outside food sources and water.

Trapping & Baiting starts at the same time that we begin the sealing/exclusion work on the exterior and interior of your home. During the time spent working on your home, our rodent specialist will return several times in the coming days to check traps and remove any rodents, rebait, and reset traps as well as check the exterior of the home to ensure they have not created any new entry points or chewed new holes. This will happen 3-5 days apart after the initial exclusion is done to give the rodents time to get hungry and find our traps. We will need to access the attic and garages to check these traps so it is vital that you are home during these checks.  Our system will send you automated text messages to inform you of upcoming service times as well as an additional text message when the technician is in route to your home. 

NTX Step 4:  Rodents are gone – Time to Sanitize & Remediate!
